Decisions, Decisions

Do you like to go shopping? I honestly have to admit that I am not a fan of shopping at all. Not even the little stuff.  The thought of trying on clothes in a store is not my idea of fun. At least not for myself. If I see something that someone else might want I think of them. For me, I'm so indecisive it's difficult to purchase things without some form of buyers remorse.   Just recently my family needed to go shopping for a couple of things we haven't purchased in quite some time. The first of those being laptops.  My daughter needed one for college and I have wanted to update mine since starting my real estate career.   Laptop shopping is not what it used to be. Wow! It's like information overload.  I don't spend a lot of time reading about laptop lingo, lol.  There are so many choices, so many brands with loads of different options.  I went to the store a couple times and ended up leaving without a laptop, not sure which one to purchase.  Sales prices play a bi

Ahh, peace.  How do you achieve it in your spare time?  What is the definition of peace in your life?  I'm not sure about you, but peace for me is a state of mind and being.  Maybe you just need some time with no work, or possibly just a moment for some quiet.   Whatever your way to achieve it, how long does it last for you? For many, it is very short lived before the next big distraction or mental crisis comes along and steals those precious minutes.  There is something I want to start doing again that I haven't done in a while.  I know for a fact it brings me a sense of well being and peace.  That is to get outdoors for more fresh air and nature.  I'm hoping that writing about going will re-inspire me to go back sooner rather than later, and possibly help others to go out and enjoy the Cape Fear River Trail. There was a time when I visited the trail at least 3 days a week or more, sadly I can say, it's been a while.   If you haven't had a chance to check it out, n

Okay, I have never really been a super huge fan of chocolate. I know, I know, who doesn't love some form of chocolate?  Well for me, we didn't eat a whole lot of candy in my house growing up, so when we did, it made a lasting impression.  For a creative spin on some sweet treats, we liked to toast a slice of bread, smear it with butter while the bread was still warm, and then sprinkle it with sugar and cinnamon. If you haven't tried it, you may be surprised.  Another thing we loved to eat was peanut butter and homemade strawberry freezer jam mixed together on a slice of bread.  You couldn't just put the peanut butter on one slice and the jam on the other,  you had to mix them together in a bowl then smear it on the bread, Mmm, not sure how, but mixing it made it taste better. I was also young and loved almost everything sweet. It does bring back memories just thinking about them. Speaking of remembering how good something tasted, I have a bit of a bone to pick with the

Why this Blog?

Welcome to my very first blog post!  In a society with so many opinions, I have one too.  You may not care about or like my opinions, and that is okay. We may not see eye to eye on a specific subject, and that's okay too.   We're all different and that's what makes us great. I have read so many things about other people who found a type of calling with writing.  My goal here is to put out information that is helpful and creative for anyone who would like to take the time to read it. When you think about what you want your life to be, what does that look like. I think we at times can get too stuck in our own heads about what we should and shouldn't do.  Maybe others opinions of us, effect us too much. Or maybe it's just me who internalizes everything.  Well here it goes, putting it out here for all of you to see. If this goes anywhere at all:) I have been told that revealing your true self can help break through superficial small talk to make real connections with p
